Welcome to Loose Thread Stitchers!

Loose Thread Stitchers began when a local shop was no longer able to hold retreats. I decided to take matters into my own hands. We held our first retreat in 2005 in West Chester, PA. As  we sat and stitched, as usual we began to discuss our lives, or families and what else... needlework. So many in the group wanted to visit other shops but found it daunting to find who was holding what events and where. Who doesn't want to go on a road trip? But when they decided to try it - they found that the shops were either closed or no longer in business. What a bummer! All the sites they visited were outdated, had little to no information or they had to visit multiple sites to find all the info they needed. It became too time consuming and overwhelming!

After so many get togethers discussing what was missing in the industry, I decided to do something about it - the Loose Thread Stitchers website was born. We have found a way for stitchers to find EVERYTHING they could possibly want to know regarding needlework ALL IN ONE SITE!  We want to provide stitchers not only a place to find sales, retreats, classes, and weekly get togethers, but also a place where they are part of a larger stitching family. Many stitchers do not have local shops, I cannot imagine, here is your NEW family!

You will also be able to find what is new in the industry. Designers will showcase new designs, we will interview designers, thread companies, framers, we will find the new and best gadgets - review them and offer them for prizes!

Basically if you cannot find the information you need here, it is not available anywhere! We hope you join us and enjoy our community as much as we are proud to bring it to you!
